History:

International Language Makati Philippines, Inc. (ILAM) is a duly formed corporation launched on February 27, 2009 at Creekside Mall Building, Amorsolo St. Makati.

It was originally conceptualized to provide English survival skills to Japanese tourists given its tie-up with one of the biggest marketing firms in Japan, but later on it expanded its market as it launched various programs including: Business English, IELTS Review, Technical writing just to name a few.

In the span of one year, the school was able to teach a wide range of learners coming from different parts of the world including: Turkey, Spain, Vietnam, Thailand, Rwanda, Congo, China, Myanmar, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Taiwan, etc. It has gained many loyal students who made the school their second home in the Philippines.

Apart from teaching individuals and small group classes, the school has also conducted private coaching, seminars, and workshops to government offices, schools, and private companies such as: Asian Institute of Management(AIM), The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Nullah(Asian Home and Clothing store), iGMAtv Maynila, Gateway Solutions Network Inc., Mahatma Gandhi International School, and various Business Process Outsourcing firms.

Mission :

As an academic institution, ILAM takes to heart its responsibilities, not only to its students, but also to its team, and community. We know that in addition to reaching our vision for the school, ILAM has a role and certain duties that it has to carry out.

For the students:
ILAM pledges itself to provide quality English education to professionals and non-professionals by offering a curriculum which employs a holistic approach in teaching the language taking into consideration the cultural and professional background of its learners. Lessons are quite practical, interactive, and customized according to the needs of the students.

For the community:
In addition to a supportive and stimulating learning environment, the school also offers a wide range of activities designed to fulfill the intellectual, cultural, and social needs of its communities. This is done through formal classroom and outdoor experiences which not only aim to make learning fun, but also to promote strong intercultural awareness through immersion.

The school intends to promote tourism in the country by designing activities that will showcase the magnificence of the Philippines, while exposing its students to the Filipino culture. ILAM intends to show its foreign students how much the country has improved, and that the Philippines is a place where they can always find another home.

In its quest to maintain a high standard of teaching, ILAM greatly invests on the skills and knowledge of its people. Teachers, therefore, are provided with opportunities for professional growth through affiliations with other ESL organizations which organize workshops, seminars, and symposiums necessary for obtaining new techniques and methodologies in teaching ESL.

To be the top language school that will set the standards to other ESL/EFL schools while providing quality and personalized education to students, and giving them opportunity to acquire international relations.
